FUNDAMENTALS OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION

My life purposes have always been for Allah.
ABOUT MY LECTURER
Madam Norida is such a strong and patient person. She has always talked about how her phone gets flooded by messages, yet I am aware that she checks each message from each student one by one. She also gives students time to do things at their own pace, as well as the inspiring lectures she never fails to give us. Both Madam Naga and Madam Norida are wise people. I am glad to have them as my lecturers.

What do I think about the course?
Unlike other courses, this was the only one where we did not start off with casual greetings. Madam Norida did not hold any classes for the first two weeks due to personal reasons. I had no idea what the course would be like.
As soon as classes started, my first impression is how therapeutic each class was. Madam Norida would always connect each content with a part of life. It all relates to one another, like a chain. After all, it is religion and it makes up most of our daily lives. However, there are instances where Islamic classes are just being taught as it is, with no deeper meaning. This was not the case for Madam Norida's classes.
She speaks her mind, about education, about different world views on it and how everything ties back to Islam. I am aware of all of this, but when I am reminded of the things I so easily forget again it shuns me. I enjoy her lectures, and although there was not enough time for Madam to interact with us, I am grateful for the wisdom she has passed on to us.
On the other hand, the assignments for this course was also refreshing. One task we did was to watch a movie, and answer the questions that were given by the test creators. I attached a photo above which is my own answer to the third question. I was passionate to write about the movie 'Wonder', as I just finished it then. Somewhere along the lines of answering these questions, I thought about how I can relate it to Islam the way Madam Norida does.
The course itself is a reminder for Muslims, as all of us are granted with our own responsibilities on this Dunya. We walk on the soils that were blessed by Allah, thus we must care for it and the living creatures that live on it. One huge responsibility is education because the first ever word that was revealed to our Prophet Muhammad by Allah was اقرأ, which simply means read.
AL-MULK
Two of our assessments were related to Surah Al-Mulk, The Kingdom. We were told to memorize the first 15 ayahs and later on analyse 5 of it. I chose to analyse ayah 1 to 5 because it speaks of the Greatness of Allah. I also managed to watch a one hour plus breakdown of the Surah Al-Mulk by Nouman Ali Khan. Do watch it if you have the time.
Final thoughts?
To Madam Norida : Thank you for showing us the meaning of strength and perseverance.
To CTU071 : For this, I actually want to thank Allah for bestowing upon
us the beauty of Islam and the Quran that helps us in every aspect of life.
