This was Madam Fatimah's final words for this semester to us.

ABOUT MY LECTURER

Whenever I listen to Madam Fatimah, I can feel the kindness in her words and also how it sounds a tad strict. She knows how to teach her students very well. I feel like she is able to teach us grammar at a really comfortable pace, it was never too slow or never too fast. She also prompts us to answer so that we can grasp each grammar rule quickly. Madam Fatimah, too, is understanding and is patient with us whenever we have confusions.

What do I think about the course?

Grammar, ah. This is where my guessing skill fails me as well. Just like Listening & Speaking course, I always correct my grammar with what sounds right. I am sure I am not the only one who does this.

To be frank, I completely forgot what part of speeches were even. Adverbs, nouns, pronouns? I was very confused at the start. It has been a long time since I learned that, thus, being reintroduced to it again threw me off guard. I was brought down to my knees as I realized what a complete idiot I am. Even a primary school kid can do better than me. However, that is where this course comes in to rescue me.

There are many foundations we lay in our minds that are weak. For me, it was grammar. Fortunately, it is never too late to learn again. This course was made for someone like me. I had to completely erase my misconceptions of what sounds right, to what is actually right. I learned to pay attention to the structure of each word and sentences, and what fits best.

To this day, I still struggle. I still struggle with tenses, and certain nouns, but I promised to myself that I will keep on trying. No one is perfect, but everyone can become a better version of themselves from yesterday.

PHYSICAL CLASS

Grammar was the second physical class we had after Listening & Speaking, but this time, it was in Dengkil. I finally felt like I was a real student again, in the best possible environment I could ever wish for. Raising hands, laughing with my classmates and Madam Fatimah, sitting next to people and trying to be as comfortable as possible in my seat. These were all the little things I actually miss. I was supposed to be in this video next to Alisha along with Radin, but Radin and I went to receive our prizes for the Scavenger Hunt event.

Final thoughts?

To Madam Fatimah : Thank you for being kind in teaching us.

To TSL041 : Thank you for allowing me to break my foundation and start over again.
